Tides: Liverpool (Gladstone Dock) tide predictions from the National Tidal & Sea Level Facility (NTSLF), National Oceanography Centre. A single well-correlated standard port is used as a national proxy — the spring/neap rhythm and its annual peaks are driven by the lunar cycle and fall on essentially the same dates around the coast. At Liverpool high waters reach ~9–10m during large springs and ~7.5m at neaps; only the relative strength of each springs (size and rank) is surfaced, not absolute levels for other locations.
